Reviews for Rugged Ridge 11216.32 Front & Rear Entry Guards for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited & Gladiator JT
Great fit and an easy install. I bought them to protect the sills from my two dogs jumping in and out.
They arrived quickly, were very easy to install and look great on my Gladiator! I chose these because out of all the other options these had the best coverage. They cover the painted part completely which is great since the paint was getting scratched from getting in and out of the vehicle.
Quality product. Easy to install.
I just installed the Rugged Ridge front and rear entry guards in my 2019 JLUR. So far, so good. They look good and they match up to the interior trim very nicely. I really like the material Rugged Ridge uses - somewhat soft and compliant. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and stories about installing these guards, including some from unhappy customers, so I approached the installation with a lot of caution. I took my time - made sure I knew which pieces went on which side (there's a difference and the pieces are marked), and I dry fitted them so that I knew exactly where to put them. Rugged Ridge leaves its customers high and dry by not supplying what they need to install the product. First off, the instructions included with the product aren't even for the entry guards. Thank goodness for YouTube. And second, Rugged Ridge doesn't supply the rubbing alcohol and adhesive promoter they recommend to prepare the surfaces before installation. Thankfully, a trip to the medicine cabinet yielded the rubbing alcohol. I didn't bother to use adhesive promoter. My experience in the past with trim tape is that it sticks to newly painted surfaces very well after cleaning with rubbing alcohol. Despite Rugged Ridge falling down on the job in the user-friendly dept., the product is good if installed carefully.
They look factory and take about 5 minutes to install.
Great addition to my jeep Gladiator. Provides good coverage to protect entry paint.
They fit perfectly and look great!
Looks good, Fits good as expected.
most other entry guards don't cover that little step up ridge , these DO
These look good, but I have a similar complaint about install as everyone else. Theres no directions or measurement guides . On a 4-door the fronts are easy because the boxed section at the top of the guard fits fairly snug over a bolt & bracket. The rear doors are a little trickier. They appear to be able to stick almost anywhere. I ended up placing the upper edge about 2" away from the "seam" where the metal at the bottom of the sill comes together. Going back and looking at the photo here online for the product, looks like I got it right....
I have a similar set for my 2 door 2008 JK and they have been stuck in place for over a year now so hopefully these wont get caught on someones shoe and ripped off...
