Been running pedal commander for almost 2 years in conjunction with a throttle body spacer by AirAid® and cold air intake by K&N® it makes a remarkable difference. I leave it set on Sport +4 even highway use the shift points are definitely improved as well as the pedal response . The unit can throw an error to the computer once in a great while and require a fast reset by leaving vehicle off and driver door slightly open removing key fob from vehicle apx 15 feet away for 4 minutes. Then returning to vehicle with no issues the check engine light will reset after 2 days.
However after tunnng my vehicle with Diablo i3, I have not ever had another error since. You can continue to run the pedal commander after tuning your jeep with the Diablo i3 it will enhance the tune settings and run error free I assure you. The fallowing tunes are available:
91 Octane tune -- Increased Horsepower
Tire Height tune - improved shift points in transmission
Speed Limiter OFF tune - running past factory max speed setting
Max Horsepower tune - increase RPM to 9000 improving top acceleration in each gear.
If you were lucky enough to get get a Jeep from 2000 - 2012 then you have a Daimler-Benz and Chrysler made vehicle. Fantastic New for you and your jeep is running strong no major issues.
If your jeep is 2013 - present you have a FCA US LLC Fiat! Enough said about that good luck!
Just threw on 15 minutes. Went around the block first in regular then sport noticed difference in take off and shift points on my auto then threw it in sport + and I cant type my exact words but I was impressed. I was very skeptical about it for a long time. Then pulled the pin on it and it's great.
The Reviews were good. Fingers crossed the works as it should.
Installed this in my 2013 JKU 6 speed. This thing is pretty great but the manual transmission makes it difficult to drive in the faster settings and any adjustments take a little while to get used to. In the states, I would use City+4 in all traffic other than the Interstate and when planning on going to the Interstate, I would switch it to Sport+4 (not Sport Plus+4). It got the Job done when needing to pass someone. Now that my Jeep is in Japan and the roads are very slow (Japanese efficiency is a lie!) I exclusively use ECO mode for a more comfortable driving experience.
PROBLEM: I had an electronic throttle failure light flashing and the check engine light come on when combining ECO mode and cruise control in a slightly hilly part of an expressway. My throttle would not exceed 2,500 RPM and it would accelerate on its own. I had to pull over and reset the electronic throttle with the pedal commander OFF by slowly depressing the throttle and slowly releasing with the ignition in the ON position. Any other settings that were stock or higher were perfectly fine with cruise control.
The only reason why I give it a four is because it wasn't easy to install on my 2017 jeep wrangler contrary to what it says. Plus, it didn't come in the same packaging as advertised. Other than that, it does work as stated. No lag, and passing cars is such a breeze in sport plus mode.
Great product at first. At throttle response and very noticeable difference in acceleration. After about a year, check engine light starting coming on as well as the throttle control sensor light plus my jeep would start revving. Would have to shut down and restart for a reset (check engine light sometimes stayed on for a bit). After a few more months I experience this issue more frequently and would have more difficulty to reset it. Eventually i would have to disconnect it. Like I said great product when it wasn't causing problems, so 3 stars
