Reviews for Quadratec Custom Fit Entry Guards for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door
About 1000% better than the short Mopar ones that offer inadequate protection. Easy to install and fit well, no interference with door seals that I can discern. Now hopefully the tape strips can hold with the extreme heat we get here in the desert southwest. Good value for the price.
Nice...not a perfect fit and not enough 3M tape, but I made them work. Much better than the bare painted sils.
Look good
Its appearance looks good. And price too.
Only got 4 stars... was not a 100% direct fit. Toward the back of the door jam it slightly diverged from the line but overall satisfied.
3 stars for the coverage and fast shipping. Door guards did not form fit at each end. I had to go out a purchase 3M 2 sided type to complete the install. I recommend that Quadratec include extra 3M tape with the guards.
These guards prevent the doors from sealing properly. The plastic is to thick on the ends. I spent a lot of time placing them and grinding down the edges trying to make them work. I should had returned them instead. It you run with the doors off or it’s just an off road only vehicle this might not be a concern for you. If it’s your daily and you drive the interstate where the wind is high I would not recommend as you want to maintain all the seals you can to reduce wind and road noise. I end up removing them.
These provide better coverage than the Mopar guards, but at a cost. The extra lip interferes with the door seals. First time I installed these I ended up with a wet driver's seat and wet carpeting under the driver's seat. I took them off figuring I got a bad pair and received a replacement. First rain with the replacement pair and my driver's side seat belt was soaked, and gets wet with every rain. I've taken these off for good now, which is also a real pain. Looking at the forums it seems others have had this problem, and there are various fixes and modifications you can make to the sill guards, but in my mind I shouldn't have to modify a part to make it work correctly. Seems like there is a reason the Mopar ones don't cover as much. I'll risk some scratched paint in exchange for a dry Jeep.
