The studs on the part were 1/16th to close on both top and bottom. Had to elongate the holes in the door to fit the part in my 1997 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Other than that it has worked fine.

This is the second one that I purchased and it didn’t even last 4 months. On the certain occasions the door would not close. Something with the door check gets stuck. But then it closes but with something breaking. The passenger side has yet to malfunction. I would recommend this but with caution on the materials and construction.

Does not fit 1997 XJ. Bolt pattern is 1.1mm too narrow.

The Bad: Didn't last 24 hours.

The Good: It didn't break into pieces and fall into the door and make rattling noises!

Broke a few weeks after installed.

Completely failed with 2 months of installation

I replaced both front check arms and the driver side broke after only 5 months of use.
