Reviews for Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Don't know how these get 5 stars the first one I had leaked from day one. And it started with a horrible wind noise but only on the passenger side. I replaced every piece of rubber on my Jeep thinking the leaking was caused by old seals. I was wrong so I did a warranty claim. That process is a joke they asked for pictures of the area the leak was in. After several emails they finally sent a replacement. Guess what the second one leaked from day one as well. Not as bad as the first but still just left my floor plugs out so water didn't build up on the floorboard. They really need to invest more R&D into this and make sure it's a quality product especially at the price they are charging for it.
Installing on mother's day was a mistake. So far this hasn't gone smooth. Needed to buy The longer bolts as the other review suggested. The sorry ones it came with were a no go finally got past that issue and the locking mechanism plastic piece isn't compatible with my 2018 Rubicon JL. Hopefully they just sent the wrong part or I'll have to ship this back and be terribly disappointed.
I have had the Bestop Sunrider on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator for a little under 2 years.
After 1 year it started leaking on both sides at the door sill during rains. I removed it and reinstalled per the instructions, but the leaks did not stop. I put the freedom panels back on and it does not leak so I know it is this top that is the issue. I realize it is out of warranty and I don't expect anything in return, but I think people should be aware that the Bestop Sunrider leaks when it rains. I feel that something at a $900 price point should be of much better quality and last longer. Very disappointed with this purchase.
The clip springs are too loose. My wife was on the highway and the top came up. The wind pushes down on the top and the clips will release. Not safe.
