Reviews for Mopar 82215367 Front Air Deflector for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Percfect fit easy mounting and mounted with screws so easy to remove to wax. Others are mounted with self stick tape so not easy to take off and on.
Easy install on a sharp looking bug deflector!
Easy install and looks great. Not sure if it keeps the rocks of the windshield but our other Jeep had the same deflector and we never got a windshield rock chip.
Love it and looks great. Like others we had to shave the hexagonal nuts a little to get them to fit into the clips and we also put the bumpons on the underside of the deflector. Easy installation.
I installed this on Friday. Took about 45 minutes. Simple install. Looks great on my Gladiator. I had to shave the hexagonal nuts a little to get them to fit into the clips. The part could have used 2 more #10 bumpons. I could have used 2 on the outer edges of the deflector. Quite a large space between the spoiler and #11's. I used the 2 remaining #11's on the downward bend of the deflector to stabilize better. I followed Tom N. suggestion and mounted the bumpons on the underside of the deflector. Works and looks good.
Only just put it on, so no experience yet. I will say this, mine is see-through gloss dark gray, not matte black.
Also one reviewer did not put on the bumpons, and the deflector cracked. The bumpons are to keep it from cracking due to over-deflection.
Anyway, I have no experience yet with its intended function, but installing was a piece of cake and I like its looks. And being Mopar, it says "Jeep" in small letters at one end.
Would have given 5 stars except I was missing a couple pieces of installation hardware,,, Overall, it was no big deal called the folks at Quadratec and they PROMPTLY sent out a WHOLE new one with instructions to take what I needed and send back the rest!!! Can't beat that for customer service!
Anyways, I agree with previous reviewer, a towel or sheet over the engine compartment will go A LONG way to keep you from getting IRRITATED if you have big meat hooks for hands like I do! LOL! Instructions were easy to follow, looks great and VERY happy with the MOPAR quality!
Looks great installed on my black Gladiator. I'd suggest laying a large towel or sheet over your engine compartment to catch the small parts that you'll probably drop while trying to install them, I did and was lucky to find them. The bumpers can always be put on the back of the deflector instead of on the hood, same function.
Won’t fit on a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport S without modification. The rectangular metal pieces in Step 4 of the instructions will never clear the hood hole. I ended up removing the hooks, drilling a hole in the hood and using a screw to hold them. So much for drill-free installation. The deflector itself has a “grinder” just right of the center. Don’t know if it’s manufacturing defect or shipping damage (box looked fine).
The 2 number 4 clips and the number 3 plastic inserts need to be improved. They do not fit the holes right and they are too weak. I had to modify it to install it and the ends of the clip broke off. Plastic part well made. There should have been more big bump ons.
