Nice rivet tool for plastic riviets.

This tool is a must for using the plastic rivets. I tried using a standard pop rivet gun but the plastic rivets did not fit correctly. No need to change the tips for different size rivets. Very easy to use and quite comfortable to squeeze and grip.

The tool works OK. However, the included rivets are junk. The instructions say to squeeze twice. The second pull frequently doesn't break off the mandrel like a normal pop rivet, but pulls the mandrel head through the rivet head and shatters it. Sometimes the mandrel gets stuck in the tool. It's easy enough to disassemble and clear out, but frustrating. I found it more effective to do one pull to seat the rivet, and then cut off the mandrel by hand. I recommend patience, and either spare cheap rivets, or the pricey MOPAR rivets (6506007AA).

Purchased to assemble Quadratec Splash Guards to JL Sport. Was not compatible with plastic pop rivets from the front fender set. But worked perfectly with the rear set.
Front fender installation required break down and rebuild of tool many times and required 3x's as many rivets due to poor function. I am thinking it is more the quality of the rivet than the gun (rivet pull pin diameter may have been undersized).

It was possible to give this 0 stars, I would. This broke after three rivets.

This thing is junk!!! I didn’t even get 3 rivets in and it quit working. Should have trusted the other reviews.
