Reviews for Smittybilt 77807 XRC Gen2 Front Bumper for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Fit perfectly. Well constructed. The directions were a bit confusing and lacked a little in the fine details. I would recommend this bumper to anyone.
I am super happy with this bumper. Well built and fits like a glove. My ONLY Issue, the directions or lack there of is a major problem. You'd think for the money you spend on this they could print out decent diagrams and explanation with what to do with all the parts.
Adam C. posted a negative review about bolt holes not lining up... perhaps he ordered the JK version? i dont know, but 77807 is for the JL and mine bolted up perfectly(on my JLUR). Due to the weight(130+ lbs) id recommend having someone help with Install. I did mine by myself using an ATV jack to raise it to proper height then roll forward into place. Fit and Finish was exactly as it should be. I spent far more time removing the OEM bumper & disassembling it for the fog light wiring harness than i did mounting up the XRC to the jeep. Weight of Bumper and nearly any winch will add 200-220lbs. Im not running stock suspension, but Anyone installing this should expect .75 to 1.5" sag in their front suspension. I would certainly recommend this bumper to anyone else looking for a winch mount bumper.
Great fit other than the passenger side mounting bracket needed to be shaved out for a better fit. But other than that it’s great quality and exactly what I wanted!
Hey All! I gave a 5 Star review of this bumper because it's exactly as described. Very sturdy, this thing is no joke. Super solid in all areas which gives you huge confidence should it be needed. The potential downsides of this bumper is that it's HEAVY. It weighs 137lbs + I have the Smittybilt X20 10,000lb winch (67 lbs). SO YOU WILL SAG. Do not get this bumper if you're on stock suspension. My JL Rubicon sagged over an inch in the front when I put this on with no aftermarket suspension. If you have aftermarket springs you're more than good to go though! Thanks!
Very happy with the bumper. It looks great, fit perfectly. We had to drill but it was because the welding on the jeep frame was off, not due to the bumper figment.
It is heavy, we had 2 of us and used the car jack to help us align during mounting. We also mounted S/B winch and it was a breeze.
Overall it looks great, solidly constructed, easy to install and comes with fitment for almost any type of light accessory you can want to mount
Instructions are lousy, I used an online video to help with the install. The bolts don't line up but easily solved but loosening the vehicle bolts which allow the holes to line up and therefore the bolts slide through. You do need to do some parts savaging from the old bumper to remove lights, do yourself a favor and buy a trim removal tool. The bumper is solid though, very nice! Make sure to pick up some D-rings so the hook can hang from them
I have installed the XRC front bumper on my 2020 Gladiator and am very happy with it. It needed a little adjustment done to the bumper mount for the bolt holes to line up. I would have given it 5 out of 5, but the pics in the instructors are poor quality black and white (looks like a copy of a copy of a pic) and the instructions could have been a little more detailed. Even so, I would recommend!
Really poor fit. Take the bolt brackets and spend some time making them fit your jeep before you think about picking the bumper up. I wasted half an hour fighting trying to get the whole bumper on and there was no way it could go.
