Reviews for Smittybilt 77724 SRC Gen2 Front Bumper for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Great heave duty bumper bolts on really good
Install was very easy, the removal of the OEM bumper takes the most time. Definitely upgrades the stock look and feels very solid. Love the look with the matching SRC gen 2 rear bumper!
Took sometime before this item came in but im so happy that it did, taking off the front of the 2021 jeep wrangler JLU was the hardest and longest part of the install. placing the new bumper onto the frame was super hard by your self so you will need to have someone with you but it was just a simple bolt in if you fallowed the videos on youtube. the bumper does not add to much weight at all im still seeing the same MPG on my 2.0 there is no Sag which i thought there would be. there was some parts left over some brackets in a odd shape like a light mount or something and a few other items that maybe fits younger models IDK which none of the videos showed so i have them sitting in the garage. drove with this bumper past few weeks still strong and its a beast i would recommend these to any fallow jeep owners
I bought this bumper last year for my 2017 JK, had it done in black Line X! Wow! Great looking, great packaging! Traded the 2017 JK in August for the 2020 Gladiator. Thinking I'm going to get this one again. I love the look of it. Comes out beautifully done when you Line X it for extra protection.
Awesome bumper and looks great. Easy install
I'm very happy with the way the bumper turned out. First of all, Smittybilt did a very good job packaging the bumper. It arrived in a very large box with tons of padding to protect it while being shipped. Getting the bumper to fit was easy. After making a few holes larger, it bolted right up. I also installed the Smittybilt X20 10K winch to go with it. The only way I was able to get the winch to fit on my Wrangler JLU was I had to mount the control module on the side, not over the spool like I wanted. Other then that, it fit perfectly and they look great together.
Well protected, great packaging. Very easy to install; you will need to remove the old wiring harness from Jeep Bumper.....the surprise there is how little steel is used in the stock bumper; it's a joke. This was a much easier install than on the JK using a modular bumper.
The new satin finish is garbage. Less than 6 months in TN (very little salt if any) and no offroading yet. Its already showing rust. Youd be better off with a cheap Chinese copy after a linex coat at this point.
