Aerodynamic and lower profile.

Exactly what I needed for my 13.5 ft kayak along with my additional hitch mount from Hitch-mount Racks.

Easily removable, low profiler and sturdy.

Very easy and quick install. I bought it for my kayak and it works fine. It just doesn’t hold that much weight otherwise I would give it a five.

Nice look however sit very low and with the weight of a kayak it was less then 1/4 inch from the paint. Also set screws on the side began to rust after the rains we had.

I was happy to see the rack looks more low-profile than pictured. The quality is great and it was easy to install. What I didn’t like was where it mounts to the vehicle. In looking at the picture, notice the front bar attaches to the freedom panels. In short, if you’re someone who actually likes to remove the panels on a somewhat routine basis, you’ll have to unbolt the front rack each time you want to do so. This obviously negates the convenience of the quick-release panels.

Since I’m only carrying lightweight surfboards, I opted to move both bars backwards on the vehicle so neither interfere with the panels. To do so, I had to order an additional rear bar as the front one in the package is approx 1/2” too short. To me, the design of this thing is really strange but with the purchase of an additional part, I was able to make it work for me.
