The Jeep Wrangler TJ is still one of brand’s more popular models, even after nearly 25 years. It was considered a commercial success largely thanks to return-to-roots design choices; meaning features like rounded headlights and a hood style that mimicked past versions of the vehicle.

Additionally, the TJ transitioned to industry standard cab features and moved from a leaf-spring suspension to the more popular coil spring suspension. It also achieved a milestone as one of the most desirable ways to drive off-road, and even today that particular model is one of the cheapest entry points for those looking to get into the Jeep lifestyle.

It goes without saying, though, that age and overall wear and tear has really taken a toll on nearly every Wrangler TJ out there. That is why using quality restoration products, like Rust Buster Frameworks, definitely helps keep those vehicles on the road — hopefully inspiring newer generations to find joy in off-roading along the way.

The most common issue for many TJ owners is the lowest part of the vehicle’s frame, as it is often the first to deteriorate due to either water retention or from impacts during rock crawling. So choosing Rust Buster’s Full Center Section allows the longest replacement available, combining the company’s Center Section and Rear Control Arm into one kit.

Suspension lift kits are very popular these days and it is common to see many Wrangler TJ’s with one installed. This added lift does offer great clearance, but as a result it can often persuade drivers into tackling more daring obstacles on the trail than their skill level would otherwise warrant. This causes added pressure and strain on the vehicle and can result in a heavy burden on its suspension. Often, these factors will result in damage to the TJ's track bar brackets and the frame’s overall integrity.

For that issue, Rust Buster offers two products, Rear Upper Track Bar Brackets and Rear Frame Sections, that can both repair and strengthen the vehicle. They are small but very effective replacements that offer exponential returns when rebuilding that TJ.

Additionally, if you have cause to replace your TJ’s rear frame sections, you should probably swap out that rear crossmember as well. This will help prevent detrimental rotations of your frame during heavy use, and as an added bonus, offer a strong mounting location for a new aftermarket rear bumper.

These are some of the most important parts to initially replace when you start rebuilding your Wrangler TJ, however there are a number of other areas as that may need some work as well. And Rust Buster offers plenty of restoration part solutions like front control arm sections, front and rear upper control arm mounts, side body mount brackets and rear control arm sections to accommodate those needs.

Also, all Rust Buster products come with written instructions to help you (or your mechanic) from start to finish. The company even adds video instructions and downloadable PDFs to help guide you through the entire process – allowing you to fully take control of your passion project.
