After going nearly a year without any shots of how Jeep's long-awaited pickup truck is progressing, we've now seen the animal in action twice in the past several weeks. And the spy shots released Wednesday provide the best look we've had yet of the vehicle.
Taken while the Jeep was undergoing public road testing in Michigan, the photos depict a truck that is quite a bit further along in the development stage than the images we saw last year. This edition is complete with four-doors and a longer bed, but we've heard it will also come in a two-door version with a shorter bed - perhaps similar in bed size to a Honda Ridgeline.

Up front, the traditional Wrangler seven-slot grille face is augmented by the same LED lighting we expect to see in the 2018 Wrangler JL, but the heavy camo makes it impossible to tell if the truck will also implement LED light strips on the front fenders - or if it will have the same vent opening on the front quarter panels.
At the truck's rear is what appears to be JK-type taillights, but again camo shrouds the view.
Also of note, this version has its exhaust piping exit on the driver's side while last year's edition saw a passenger exit, while depicting a spare tire location now underneath the bed.
