And here you thought the Jeep Gladiator has a bad departure angle.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ newest truck roared into the marketplace last spring with a price tag equally as loud and unwavering as all its marketing hype.

Deals were scarce—if at all. In fact, many dealerships actually tacked on a surcharge for the vehicle.

These days though, behind an ever-increasing inventory build up and the inevitable hype 'departure', deals aren’t just something lucky to find when you reach a showroom; they are everywhere.

Which is good news for those who put off their Jeep truck buying decision.

According to CarsDirect.com, thanks to a mix of dealer discounts and rebates, consumers can find a savings up to $9,000 on Gladiators (with the exception of Rubicon) in many parts of the country through at least February 3. This means some could even find their new Gladiator a better deal than Wrangler, depending on the option packages.

Of course, this time of year doesn’t hurt potential Gladiator buyers either, as early winter can be a slow selling season for dealerships. It may not take much to talk a salesperson into an additional 'discount'.

Additionally, lease offers have dropped as well since last year. Jeep’s own website shows you could snag a 36-month lease at $219 a month for a Sport trim Gladiator, with $3,599 down.

Keep in mind the best thing to do is email your preferred dealership for all current rebates and incentives, and get the best price you can in writing before heading out to the showroom.

Overall, FCA moved just over 40k Gladiators in 2019 (40,047) following its May release. With these early incentives designed to move as many vehicles as possible before spring, it is definitely clear FCA wants to shatter that number in 2020.
